Deeply Rooted Heritage
With the establishment of Stanford University in 1885, our neighborhood came to be known as University Park. The immediate area began to influence the broader region as Stanford’s research activities turned into thriving business opportunities. The walkable downtown, surrounded by rolling hills rich with redwoods, eventually became central to what we today call Silicon Valley.
The University Park ownership group, CM Capital, has had its center of operations in Palo Alto since the 1960s. As Silicon Valley has risen to global renown, we have played various roles in serving and partnering with numerous prominent organizations along the way.
